Looking to the future: supporting Vietnam’s next generation of pharmacists at Hue College of Medicine and Pharmacy

At mClinica, we’re committed to transforming healthcare in Asia. This means looking to the future and to Asia’s future pharmacy professionals.

As part of this goal, in May 2018 we co-sponsored the Pharmacy 4.0 Competition at Hue College of Medicine and Pharmacy. The event was designed to help Pharmacy students to cultivate the skills they will need in their future careers, and it was a great success. We’re proud to have supported the event and its young pharmacists under our SwipeRx brand.

In teams of three, the students battled it out through several rounds. These included poster design, a multiple choice quiz, and questioning. The students tested their knowledge on a variety of topics, such as health issues, drug groups, allergies, and drug interaction.

We’d like to congratulate once again Team 3N who won the SwipeRx voting: Thanh Nhàn, Khánh Nhung and Quỳnh Như.

Viet Anh Nguyen, Pharmacy Community Associate at mClinica, shared:

mClinica’s mission is to strengthen the pharmacy profession. We are honored to have been a part of the Hue College of Medicine and Pharmacy clinical pharmacy competition, as it supports the newest generation of frontline healthcare workers. Pharmacists are often the first point of access to modern medical advice and care for millions of people in Vietnam.

SwipeRx is our flagship app for pharmacy professionals, with over 75,000 users across Southeast Asia. Vietnam is one of the newest markets to join the platform, but it’s also the fastest growing. Back in April, we hosted an activation event in Vietnam to address the growing demand for SwipeRx in the country. As the year moves on, we’re looking forward to engaging more with the market.

We’re proud to have sponsored the competition and hope it is to be the first of many for Hue College. Congratulations to the students!
